First loan with no credit history
No credit history is not bad credit history. If you are new to credit, CredBean's RBI-registered lending partners assess bank-statement and UPI cash-flow signals alongside the bureau, so a thin file does not mean automatic rejection. First loans are usually small — often ₹5,000 to ₹50,000 — and clean repayment builds the score that unlocks better terms.

"No CIBIL score" and "low CIBIL score" are different problems
A new-to-credit applicant has no record at all — often shown as −1 or NA rather than a number. That is a gap in information, and it is filled with cash-flow evidence. A low score, by contrast, records something that already went wrong: missed EMIs, settlements, write-offs. Thin-file applicants are usually the easier case. If your score is low rather than absent, clearing overdues and waiting for the record to age helps more than reapplying repeatedly.
What to expect on your first sanction
Expect a small ticket and a rate above the 14.5% p.a. floor — that is how a lender prices unknown risk, not a judgement about you. Take the small amount, and take a tenure whose EMI you can pay on the worst month of the year. Six clean EMIs change the conversation entirely: your bureau record now exists, and the next limit and rate are set against evidence instead of assumption.
Do not apply everywhere at once
Each formal application a lender submits to the bureau leaves an enquiry, and a cluster of enquiries in a short window reads as distress. CredBean's eligibility check is a soft pull that leaves no mark; a hard enquiry occurs only when you proceed with a specific partner's offer. So compare through one enquiry, review the Key Fact Statement, and then commit once.
