Personal loan for self-employed and gig workers

Self-employed people, gig workers and small business owners in India can get a personal loan of ₹5,000 to ₹5,00,000 through CredBean's RBI-registered lending partners. Instead of a salary slip, partners assess three to six months of bank statements and UPI cash flow. Interest starts at 14.5% p.a. reducing balance, tenures 3 to 60 months.

Cash flow matters more than paperwork

Self-employed income is lumpy, and a single month proves nothing. Lending partners read three to six months together, looking at average monthly credits, how consistent they are, the lowest balance you hit, and whether existing EMIs or mandates bounce. Steady modest inflows are assessed better than one large spike followed by silence. Keeping business receipts in one account, rather than spread across several, materially improves the read.

Personal loan or business loan?

A personal loan is faster, unsecured, needs no business vintage proof, and the money is yours to use — good for a stock purchase, an equipment repair, a seasonal gap or a receivable delay. A business loan can be larger and cheaper but wants registration, vintage and financials. If the requirement is small and dated, a personal loan is usually the practical route; if it is large and structural, look at a business loan first.

Fitting the EMI to an uneven month

Set the EMI against your worst realistic month, not your best. A longer tenure lowers the monthly commitment and gives you room in a slow season; you can foreclose or part-prepay free of charge after the first EMI when a good month arrives, which cuts total interest. Both figures are visible in the calculator before you commit.
